Our Mission

Structure | Training | Development

The Bettendorf Soccer Association was incorporated in 1982 as a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide structure, training, and development in a competitive soccer experience for the youth of Scott County, Iowa. BSA strives to support area youth with training and development of individual and team skills with respect to youth soccer activities. This program continues to fill a need that is not currently supported in most of our school or community sponsored activities. Soccer continues to be one of the fastest growing sports programs in the United States and BSA strives to prepare youth to participate in this sport at every level from our Academy program through athletes preparing for their college careers and beyond.

BSA currently develops and supports program development for youth from age 4 through 18. BSA caters to families offering membership into the program. Families are required to volunteer time to assist the organization control costs and are able to participate in BSA activities via a fee based activities program. BSA currently offers programs and events to over 500 families in the area. We have approximately 500 youth playing at the competitive level on soccer teams. We also have over 200 youth ages 4 through 8 participating in programs developing their soccer skills and training to enter competitive programs.

Individual development programs including camps, training programs, and skills development are fee based programs open to all individuals on a space available basis.

BSA sponsors teams that train within BSA and participate in various leagues and tournaments. Players on sponsored teams pay a fee to BSA of $200 ($100 per season-spring and fall). This fee covers the use of BSA facilities, oversight, and related equipment during their team experience. All other teams fees such as league fees, tournament, uniforms, etc. are the responsibility of the individual and his/her team.
